Arrived in Nairobi!

We have officially arrived in Africa. We landed in Nairobi, Kenya at about 9pm local time Saturday night. We were met by our safari directors who were beyond helpful and really expedited the entire customs and baggage claim process. We were whisked away in a Micato-branded van to our hotel the Four Points by Sheraton that was not far from the airport. Upon arrival, security had a dog smell our entire van for potential weapons which was a wild experience for us but standard procedure for here. Our hand baggage was put through a metal detector shortly after that, and we got checked in and got our room key thanks to our great concierge, Purity. The room is lovely, and they put a heart of rose petals on the bed since everyone knows it's our Honeymoon. We don't get a ton of channels on the TV, but somehow we are watching a live MLB Playoff game between Cleveland and Tampa Bay on ESPN. We are about to go to bed because we leave the hotel tomorrow morning at 10am for our flight to Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. Many more updates to come! Usiku mwema! (Good night in Swahili).
